We are thrilled to welcome Becky Hibbert and Julia Tseayo to our Board of Trustees!
They recently visited our projects in Uganda and Malawi, respectively, and wanted to deepen their involvement with Accomplish upon returning to the UK.
Becky is an environmentalist with grant-making experience who has been volunteering with our fundraising team, and Julia is a children's physiotherapist.
We are excited to be working with them and we know that their skills are going to be a huge asset to Accomplish.
Becky first heard about Accomplish through Jessie Acton, her sister-in-law and a trustee. "I was inspired by the work and support for disabled children, and wanted to help," Becky said.
"As someone who works in the environmental sector - the concept of sustainability across integrated environmental, people and societal problems has always been central to my work. Having experience as both a grant giving body, and applying for grants in partnership with others, I agreed to volunteer to support Accomplish's grants sub-group.
"When the opportunity arose to accompany Chris Acton and Chris Harris on their annual visit to Uganda, I was enthusiastic. I wanted to deepen my understanding of the projects to be better able to obtain funding. Whilst out in Africa, I had a lot of time to discuss with both Chrises the future of Accomplish, and was delighted to accept the position of trustee upon my return. I hope to be able to add my experience to support Accomplish into it's next chapter."
