We'd like to say a huge thank you to Ruth Allen, who has been sewing face masks to raise money for Accomplish.
Ruth, who responded to the NHS' call to sew scrubs during lockdown earlier this year, is a former intensive care nurse so has first-hand experience of the pressures facing frontline medical workers. She then turned her skills to making face masks for friends. They in turn gave donations to Accomplish and £180 was raised!
Ruth is not alone in sewing face masks. Accomplish is providing face masks for our Malawian project, which are being made locally. We have also supplied soap for several of the organisations we support.
We would like to thank Ruth and her friends for helping the families of children with disabilities in Africa to cope with the new challenges they face.
